Mission Statement

Our aim is to enable children to reach their full potential through providing education appropriate to their abilities and needs and to support their parents freeing them from the need for their children to work.

Happy Home is HAPPY because our aim is to replace our children’s problems and sadness by love, warmth, care, and friendship.  This will empower them to achieve their potential through education and give them the joy of their success in life.

How do we hope to achieve this?

1. ‘Happy Home’ Children’s Tuition and Day Care Centre at Vizhinjam

In February 2007 we established a day-care home for the neediest children. It was opened by Fr. Dee Sircar of Doncaster Minster and was originally responsible for 25 children but due to desperate need we have had to increase this to 50.  We  ensure they receive adequate schooling by providing uniforms and books and they receive extra tuition in the evening by our qualified care staff.  Our first rule is to enrich their lives and make them happy!

2.The Reginald Griffiths Memorial Medical Help Centre

The Reginald Griffiths Memorial Medical Help Centre ooks after their needs as the Happy Home Office is used as a place where the very poor can request help as funds permit.

3. Wheel of Hope Outreach

When funds permit Wheel of Hope helps the poor through medical aid, payment of rent: repairs to homes: rice donations, special help for gifted children, school uniforms and equipment.  We have also provided a toilet for a family living in a palm leaf hut on the open sewer and made habitable the house of the grandparents of one of our children.

4. Cultural Sponsorships
